TV Over Internet on LG LCD TV.. It’s getting real
TV over web is getting easier thanks to LG
LG is going one direction, adding broadband connectivity and Netflix software to a new line of its LCD- and plasma-screen TVs.

Amazon is going another, adding its library of 40,000 pay-per-view movies and TV shows to an inexpensive settop box manufactured by a California company.
Digital gurus have been telling us for years that “this is the year of the connected home.”
They may finally be right.
Two announcements that preceed the opening of the International Consumer Electronics Show later this week hit consumers right in the family room.
Amazon today announced a deal with Saratoga, Calif.-based Roku to offer its library of pay-per-view entertainment through the Roku Digital Video Player.
The Roku player is a small $100 box that connects to a TV with component or HDMI cables and to the Internet either wirelessly or through an Ethernet cable.
Roku already has a deal with Netflix that allows Netflix subscribers to stream movies and other entertainment through their TVs.
The deal today adds Amazon’s library of pay-per-view movies and TV shows, which are expected to cost 99 cents and up, to the Roku player. The service will launch “early this year,” Amazon said.
“The move should make the Roku player much more valuable,” proclaimed Wired magazine’s blog.
Amazon is sweetening the deal a bit, saying it will offer pay-per-view movies through the Roku player the same day they are released on DVD.
It’s a sweet deal for Roku, because Amazon and Netflix aren’t direct competitors. Netflix is a subscription service, while Amazon soon will begin offering movies and TV shows on a pay-per-view basis.
Wired noted that Roku already has competition from Blockbuster’s settop box and Apple TV.
And soon that competition will get a bit broader.
LG’s new connected TVs will have Netflix software built in.
LG already offers a networked Blu-ray disc player that streams video to a TV from Netflix.
“Embedding the Netflix streaming software in the television is a natural progression of our partnership with Netflix and our innovative product line,” said LG Electronics USA President Teddy Hwang. “This is an LG industry-first, which provides another flexible option for consumers seeking to access exciting content directly through their HDTV.”
This is great news for TV over Internet technology as it means that its getting mainstream very fast. Check out some existing software applications that can give you this today at Internet TV offer page.

Home Theater TV Projection LCD Or Plasma… What’s Your Preference?
What’s your preference of HDTV? Could it be TV Projection LCD or Plasma? From a home theater point-of-view this is an important element but the truth is, when choosing your home theater TV, it really is your decision.
Yes, you’ll get a ton of advice and information and that’s great but you really want a unit which you’re going to be happy with, not someone else.
Home theater is a personal thing, from the type of TV to the sound system to the seating arrangements. Everyone has their own peculiarities and the first rule of setting up your showpiece is…”Don’t build it to someone else’s satisfaction!”
As far as home theater TV is concerned, there are many issues which come into play such as size, picture and the ability to have it wall mounted. What’s your preference?
Projection TVs
If you are into size and a budget then projection televisions are great. You get plenty of “bang for your buck” with a projection unit including the best screen size for your outlay. You also have the option of DLP and LCD technology with today’s units.
The only drawback of course is if you prefer the wall mounted look.
LCD TVs
Flat screen LCDs are more expensive than their rear projection cousins and are much smaller in size. They are lauded for their brightness and contrast levels and the problem of burn in isn’t really an issue.
Another factor in their favor is their low power consumption. This is important if you are an avid television watcher and for home theater TV purposes, then this is a plus.
Plasma TVs
Plasmas are very slim these days making them ideal to be wall mounted. They are still regarded as having the best color delivery as well as high contrast ratio for greater detail.
They also provide the widest viewing angles which is great for home theater if seating placement becomes an issue. On the downside, their life expectancy is shorter but this is not really an issue in our book.
Their life expectancy is somewhere between 20-30,000 hours. This equates to 15-20 years with a set used 4-6 hours a day.
With today’s rapidly increasing technology, a set bought today is going to be pretty ancient by the time it’s due to burn out and in all likelihood, a new home theater TV will have already replaced it. Some people tend to say that TV projection LCD are getting much more popular than Plasma.
Plasma TV Ratings and Plasma Reviews
This is an excellent video to find out what you need in a HDTV or Plasma TV. It’s important to look at plasma reviews before you jump into buying a unit.
Hopefully this video would have taken you on a positive path to your hdtv or plasma tv reviews and buying decision.

Comparing Digital Cameras before Purchase
Best digital cameras have changed how we capture images, view them or store them. No longer are photographs pasted in album to be viewed in years ahead putting the album on lap. Digital photographs live immortally in the Internet, home Computers or the small chips we call memory cards. Hence , requirement for reasonable yet fantastic quality digital cameras has been rising. However, if you travel often, or have an ardent interest in macro or portrait photography, you would do well to speculate in two lenses as well as a good camera. If you believe purchasing a digital camera is going to cost you a bomb, you cannot be more incorrect. Not only, would you get the best bargain, but you might finish up picking a free accessory or 2 too. The savings due to high deductions offered on such digital cameras can run into lots of pounds.
